Can Katrina Kaif recreate Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge magic ?

Out of all of Shahrukh Khan’s leading ladies, Kajol undoubtedly shares the best onscreen chemistry with the badshah of romance. It’s not that he doesn’t look good with Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone or Anushka Sharma. The camera captures the awe and adulation the pretty young ladies have for the superstar. But whenever SRK has shared the screen space with Kajol, Madhuri Dixit or Juhi Chawla, the physicality and mental understanding between them has been natural and plausible. SRK and Kads look the best together though. May be because they were young and walking the same road to stardom together made them look most comfortable with each other.

Recently, during the shoot of Yash Chopra’s romantic drama, SRK’s newest co-star Katrina Kaif was experiencing difficultly looking in love with the superstar. Probably because she was too much in awe of the king of romance! To make things simple and easy for the Chikni Chameli, Chopra senior’s son Aditya, who is supposed to be directing the romantic scenes in the film, told her to keep in mind the playful and uninhibited Kajol of Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. In fact, the love scenes between SRK-Kat are inspired from SRK-Kajol’s equation in the romantic blockbuster.

Katrina is definitely happy with the way the romance in the film has turned out. “I’d like to think Shah Rukh and I share the same on-screen chemistry as he did with Kajol and Madhuri. I’ve learnt a lot by simply observing him especially in the romantic sequences,” she said in an interview.

Let’s wait to watch if Kat has managed to relive the chemistry SRK and Kajol shared. While we doubt it could be possible, we wouldn’t be shocked if Kat surprised us.

Sex is in the mind, not clothes says Paoli dam

Even before Hate Story, Paoli Dam was the talk of the town in Kolkata thanks to her sex scenes and full frontal nudity in Sri Lankan filmmaker Vimukthi Jayasundara’s Bengali film Chatrak (Mushroom) in 2011. Even though the full monty clips were removed from the promotional videos, Pritam Sarkar, 
director of Flop-e, watched it on Youtube and, disgusted, refused to allow Paoli to promote his film.

So why did she do such a film? Paoli reasons, “Vimukthi is an international filmmaker, winner of the Camera d’Or at Cannes for The Forsaken Land (2005). Chatrak was world cinema and officially premiered at Cannes. I walked the red carpet in a Dhakai sari and the film got a standing ovation after the screening. It was such a high representing the country at such a prestigious international festival. The scene was necessary in the movie. I have worked with the stalwarts of Bengali cinema such as Gautam Ghose (Kaalbela and Moner Manush) and Rituparno Ghosh (Shab Chitra Kalponik) and no one has pointed fingers at me.”

Shahid-Priyanka together for "teri meri kahani"

The first look of the much awaited Kunal Kohli film is out, but has nothing fresh to offer. To make matters worse, it reminds us of Pankaj Kapoor’s magnum opus that was a magnum flop

B-town stars are a lucky bunch, as they get fiercely loyal fans across the globe – a feat their Hollywood counterparts may not be able to brag about. There have even been occasions when the nation has come to a standstill if a star is injured or hurt – remember the Coolie incident? On a rather happier note, we hear that fans of Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra are coming together to help create buzz about their new film, Kunal Kohli’s Teri Meri Kahaani.

The trailer reminded us a great deal of Shahid’s last film, Mausam. It starts off in a time long gone, and culminates in present-day London. Shahid seems to be playing a soldier to start off with, an actor along the way and the boy-next-door in the finale. Priyanka’s character starts off like that of Sonam Kapoor in Mausam; then she transforms into a filmstar and ends as the girl-next-door.
