Anushka to plays just an extended cameo in SRK's movie

Labels: , ,

For those people who thought that Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif’s upcoming untitled romantic film revolved around the love story between Kat, SRK and Anushka Sharma, here’s a myth buster.Anushka will plays just an extended cameo in the film. A little birdie has chirped to us that Anushka agreed to play second fiddle because Aditya Chopra convinced her to do the role.

Anushka’s role is being modeled on that of Rani Mukerji in Veer-Zaara. Anushka plays a very attentive character in the film. She makes an entry only in the second half. It is quite surprising to know that the 23-year-old, who was appreciated for her acting skills in lead roles in Rab Ne Band Di Jodi and Band Baaja Baaraat, has agreed to play a not so extensive part.

Anushka was a bit hesitant to play the role initially, but she could not say no to the offer from the banner that made her the star that she is today. It was Yash Raj Films that launched Anushka by casting her opposite Shahrukh Khan and also gave her meaty roles in delicious films like Band Baaja Baaraat and Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl. How could Anushka then say no to Yash Chopra, the king of romance. The huge plus of sharing screen space with Shahrukh Khan was too tempting for the gorgeous babe .Check out some of her pics.

Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor fully promote their latest upcoming movie "Tezz"

Labels: , , ,

The two actors were seen promoting their new film Tezz at Buddh International circuit

We can just imagine the kind of adrenaline rush Anil Kapoor and Ajay Devgan must have felt, driving their swanky racing cars on one of the coolest F1 tracks in Asia. It seems the two were so thrilled that they ended up driving at a speed of 260-270 kmph. After finishing three laps, the actors expressed disappointment over the fact that they had to stop ‘coz of the interference of the press. All we can say is, someone had to bring all the zooming and vrooming to a halt, or else our hoity-toity actors would start thinking of themselves as future Schumachers or maybe Vettels. Now we don’t want them to harbour such delusions, do we?

Once these sporty actors were done driving, a curious reporter happened to ask Ajay about the winner of this interesting promotional race, to which Ajay very strategically pointed his finger at Priyadarshan. Now we must say that’s a clever way to flatter the director of your film, Ajay. And about your film, hope it manages to touch a mark that’s at least considered  average, darling…check these stills from the movie Tezz.click to enlarge

Satyamev Jayate has made life tough for her:Kiran rao

Labels: , ,

Filmmaker and superstar Aamir Khan’s wife Kiran Rao says the actor’s new TV show Satyamev Jayate has made life tough for her as he has started bringing work home. “This show has made my jeena haram (life tough) on many levels because Aamir has worked on the show night and day and in my house,” the 38-year-old said. “So my house has been full of writers and people from Star (Plus), and Aamir and they have all the big team in my house day and night. So, I am waiting for the show to come on air and slowly, hopefully my life will also go back to normal,” she added.

Satyamev Jayate will go on air on Star Plus on May 6. The concept of the show has been kept under wraps, but its theme song is receiving a positive response. Rao also admits to being in love with it. “Satyamev Jayate is an amazing song. I really loved it and they went all over the country to shoot it, which was really exciting,” she said, adding that she regrets not being a part of the show.

“(I was) Very sad that I couldn’t be a part of his show. It’s been such a journey for Aamir. The promos I hope reached out to the people and people will watch the show,” she said.

Satyamev Jayate will mark Aamir’s debut on the small screen. It is unique as it will be the first ever programme to go live simultaneously on a Star Plus and national broadcaster DD1.

While Aamir has been busy with the show, Rao has been spending time with their five-month-old son Azad (who was included in one of the promos of Satyamev Jayate without Kiran’s knowledge). She says motherhood is keeping her away from starting anything new. “I am actually going to begin writing something. I hope I have the head space to start writing. I am still very much a full-time mother hoping to find the space to work and write something new,” said Rao, who became a mother in December last year through surrogacy. Her last film as producer was Delhi Belly and she made her directorial debut with Dhobi Ghat.
